There's a lot of time, care, and love that is put into producing our most famous product, pickled asparagus. So we thought that we would take the time to explain the process to you, so you can enjoy it even more.

Asparagus is a crop which blossoms in early spring, and is picked in May and June. The asparagus spears are snapped off of the base when they are about 9 inches long. These spears were picked fresh from the field this morning. |
The stalks are then brought to our fresh production line where they are washed and trimmed. Through out this process the “seconds” are removed, to ensure that the remaining asparagus is perfect. |
All of the stalks are then hand packed into jars and the extra ingredients are added to make our family recipe for pickled asparagus. This batch is just waiting for it's turn in line. |
It takes time to pickle products perfectly and this asparagus is only about half-way through the process. But it sure looks delicious to me! |
